Telkom Hold CSR Days: Unlimited Space for Expression and Creativity

The talkshow 'For Indonesia' in CSR Days with Keenan Pearce, Ernanda Putra, Arief Muhammad and GAC

Spawning the 52nd anniversary that falls on July 6, 2017, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) organizes Telkom CSR Days. The event was held on 12-13 July 2017 in Telkom Landmark Tower area, Jakarta.

CSR Days is the embodiment of Telkom's 52nd-anniversary theme of 'Telkom Indonesia, For Indonesia'. Telkom seeks to benefit the Indonesian people through various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

The first day of CSR Days begins with a blood donation supported by PMI and the Blood4Life Community. In addition, the talkshow sheeted 'For Indonesia' with Keenan Pearce and Ernanda Putra (founder of Creative Meaning), Arief Muhammad (writer and vlogger), and Fashion Shock by Rafi Ridwan and live music with GAC music group.

The theme of the talk show 'For Indonesia' highlighted the role of youth for Indonesia with its work and creativity, especially in the digital age. The speakers are young people who have done something positive and inspiring. Through this talk show, Telkom hopes to inspire the young generation to do positive things for Indonesia, especially through the digital world.

The digital world provides unlimited space for expression and exploring creativity. Keenan explains that the digital era is present in our day, so inevitably everyone has to interact through the digital world. For him, the digital world is a source of inspiration and reference.

"As a digital player we have to be responsible for every content we create, we want the content created to be positive and inspire others to create similar works because good works should be enjoyed by everyone," Ernanda added.

Arief Muhammad said, the role he did for Indonesia is manifested by creating vlogs that explore various places in Indonesia that are not yet known to the general public. Through his vlog, Arief hopes people can recognize the diversity of Indonesia.

"Millennial generations get all the information from the digital world, we as content creator make use of it positively," he explained.

CSR Days also enlivened by Fashion Show by Rafi Ridwan, the deaf person who became the youngest fashion designer in Indonesia and has been worldwide. At the end of the event, GAC's performance closed CSR Days nicely by singing the song 'For Indonesia'.

CSR Days is a form of Telkom's support to motivate and inspire young Indonesians who are social, entrepreneurial, and able to contribute positively to Indonesia.

This is a manifestation of Telkom's commitment as a Digital Telecommunication Company actively involved in community empowerment through CSR program in realizing a high sense of concern for the community and the surrounding environment.
