The 72nd Independence Day celebrations on Thursday (17/08) saw all Indonesians participating in various competitions that foster communal spirit. 

Central Jakarta's Jalan Jaksa, which is popular among foreign tourists, observed the anniversary in a more international and multicultural way, with residents inviting everyone to join.
