Jakarta. Five publicly listed companies were recognized as top performers at the 2017 Investor Awards, presented by Investor magazine, at Balai Kartini in South Jakarta on Thursday evening (18/05).
The winners are Telkomsel Indonesia, Waskita Karya, Mayora Indah, Tunas Baru Lampung and KMI Wire & Cable. They are regarded as having been the best financial performers among 537 listed companies in the 2015-2016 period.
In a statement released on Thursday, Investor magazine said apart from reporting solid financial performances, the five companies also saw their stock prices increase significantly and their stocks are highly liquid.
The theme of the awards ceremony was "Adapting to Disruptive Environment: Towards Productive & Inclusive Growth." Members of the selection panel reviewed the candidates on their successes in overcoming crises, their ability to adapt to a challenging business environment and on innovations to ramp up productivity and sustainable revenue growth.
"Carrying the spirit of this theme, we also found that amid the volatility, there were still some companies that have been able to maintain sustainable growth," in terms of revenue and production, said Roy Sembel, a member of the selection panel.
Investor magazine also reviewed the nominees based on several other parameters, including environmental impact, corporate social responsibility, good corporate governance and forward-looking business strategies.
The magazine further recognized 17 listed companies as best the performers in their respective sectors.
