Jakarta. Rizkan Chandra, president director of Semen Indonesia, passed away at Siloam International Hospital Semanggi in South Jakarta on Saturday (16/07).
Rizkan, born on Jan. 27, 1969, was appointed as president director at the country's biggest cement producer in May last year for a working period of 2016-2020.
His body was laid at his private residence in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) in South Tangerang, Banten, while a burial ceremony was held at the San Diego Hills Memorial Park in Cikarang, West Java on Sunday, according to the statement from Semen Indonesia's corporate secretary, Agung Wiharto.
Rizkan, who graduated from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1987, was previously appointed as strategy and business development director at Semen Indonesia. He was also a former network and information technology director at state-controlled Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom).
He also served as a commissioner at Telkom and president director of Sigma Cipta Caraka, a subsidiary of Telkom. Rizkan also holds a graduate degree in management from the National University of Singapore, known as NUS.
Darmawan Junaidi will be the acting president director for Semen Indonesia. He previously served as finance director for the company.
